Get it all in~

Today I had the "pleasure" of going to
an eye appointment.
They informed me that it
 had been four years since
 I had last been in.
Oops...
Where has the time gone?
They went through the usual
battery of tests
&
 then to my great delight,
( Ummm... NOT )
they dilated my eyes...
As I sat there with my eyes closed,
I started to think about all the time
that has gone by...
It hardly seems possible...
After my eyes were fully dilated,
( as you can see...)
I Looked like a Precious Moments Figurine.
Then,
I was back in the chair under a light.
It almost felt like the moment of truth...
Have things been really that blurry?
Apparently...
Yes...
So, it's time to make a change.
Time to get things back in focus...
What a difference a simple
eye exam can make...
When was the last time
you checked to see if
your life was in Focus?

Motivational Monday~ Work in Progress

As we work towards what we want
we need to take care of ourselves.
It's not just about achieving your
ultimate goal, but taking care of
yourself along the way...
With that being said,
you need to challenge yourself.
Change is not always easy
or
comfortable,
but
if you desire a change...
You need to be willing
to move outside of your comfort zone.
Keep this in mind as you
work towards your goal...

Trust...
have Faith in yourself.
Your Dreams,
 and Never Give Up!

Mason Jar~

Spinning floating through the air
not living with a care...
The Butterfly danced in the morning sun...
Flitting, flying from place to place
with the most amazing grace...
Till one day she caught the eye
of a child that was rushing by...
He watched as she moved
from flower to flower.
Taken by her beauty,
he decided that he wanted to keep her.
So he went to the garage
and found himself a
mason jar.
He took the time to
find a hammer and nail
to punch some holes
in the lid so that
she would have fresh air...
He went to the garden
and picked some
flowers so that she would
have them.
Then he made his way
to capturing the beauty
that held his stare...
He found her once again
dancing in the summer sun...
He watched as she explored
the different places in the garden.
Then he made his move.
He captured her...
Thrashing and crashing in the
jar she kept trying to find her way out.
Finally, exhausted, she stopped to rest.
The boy watched her with great
 joy
pride
till it was time for bed.
Then he placed her next to his head.
As he drifted off to sleep.
All he could think about,
 was that she
was his to keep...
By the break of dawn
he realised that she was gone.
He didn't know why?
He started to cry...
Simple truth of it all
she died longing to be free...

Savvy Saturday ~ The Color Run

The Color Run
Welcome to another edition of Savvy Saturday.
Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to
The Color Run.
I posted about my intent to participate in The Cleveland Color Run back in April.
Today, along with my husband Chad,
and my friends Julie and Staci, I ran in The Color Run.
What is The Color Run?
In my humble opinion,
it is the most colorful and fun 5K run/walk EVER!
It is like a run through a rainbow.
Everyone starts off in white t-shirts

and ends up looking like a human tie-dyed rainbow!

Each kilometer of the run is dedicated
to a specific color.
The first kilometer is yellow.
The second kilometer is green.
The third is blue

The fourth is purple,
and the fifth is pink.
The finish is literally a color explosion!

Why did I do it, or really why would anybody?
Well, besides the obvious "because it is fun" reason,
it benefits some wonderful charities.
The Color Run is currently being run in 30 different cities all over the country.
Each city's run benefits a different charity.
Here in Cleveland, The Color Run benefited Richmond Heights Parks Association.
Charities in other cities include
Habitat for Humanity,
Meals on Wheels,
The Ronald McDonald House,
Police Unity Tour, etc.

The Color Run is for EVERYBODY
of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels.

If you would like more information go to:
www.thecolorrun.com

You can also register to participate in The Color Run at the same website,
but don't hesitate because they fill up very quickly.

I highly recommend The Color Run as it was an amazing experience and totally FUN!!!

XOXO....
