Summer Awaits~

As the sun dips beyond the horizon,

and nature begins to stir...

The evening air brings about a cool breeze.

A faint scent of honeysuckle comes to me...

In the distance I hear the crickets music,

& 

the bullfrog chiming in.

How I have longed for the Summer melody...

I drink it all in & enjoy every moment.

The children laughing & playing as they

run from place to place.

  Watching as they try to catch the lightening bugs.

A glimmer here & a glimmer there, 

as they light up the Summer sky...

Now it is time to go to bed...

To settle the children and assure them

that tomorrow will bring about 

another day in the summer sun...
