White Elephant...

Tonight at the Cleveland Browns Stadium we had our annual white elephant gift exchange, at the managers meeting.  I will have to tell you.  I always like getting my number later in the game, so that I don't have to worry about people stealing my gift. I figured that I was pretty safe with the number 60.  Right...  Wrong!  I took pictures of all the could have had gifts.  I had 10, that passed through my hands!  I was the favorite tonight to be picked on.  No sooner would I get a gift, I would turn around to talk to someone and *Poof*!  Just like that my gift was gone...  So, after all of the swiping and gift nabbing I finally ended up with a "Jump Pack".  This thing does just about everything in an emergency.  Will air up your tires, jump your battery, will be a road side light in case of an emergency and has 3 power outlets so that you can charge up something.  This handy dandy gift costs about $100.00!  I couldn't believe it.  At first I was thinking what the heck am I going to do with this?  Then as I was walking to my car, a lot of the guys from the meeting kept coming up to me and asking if I wanted to trade gifts...  I had to politely decline.  I started thinking that even though this thing weighs about 20lbs.  I could make great use out of this at a 3-Day event.   ( Big Smile )  I could keep my Cell Phone charging all night, would be able to air up our mattress with this.  Hmmm... The possibilities started to seem pretty endless when you really think about it...  Ok, so initially I wasn't too thrilled with this, but then I put on my 3-Day glasses and all of a sudden it was looking pretty good!  2012 is going to be a great year!  Thank you to my anonymous white elephant gift giver!  What a most generous gift to give.

  1. First, I think you got a FANTASTIC gift! Second, if you pack this thingy for the 3-Day, you will only have 15 lbs left for everything else. Knowing ALL about your costume changes, I'm thinking this handy, dandy, nifty, spiffy, thing-a-ma-jiggy might have to stay in the car, but I could be wrong! XOXO.....
